I second that! We will probably see the same “evolution” for the non-Retina Macbooks too. Remember, Apple does this for its own good (that’s making $$$), not the consumer. Who cares if it’s a couple of mm thinner of it makes it non-upgradeable? For Apple, Form > Function.

I’m considering switching back to PC after a couple of years with a Macbook. I now have a 2011 15″ Macbook and it feels sluggish. And now the battery is almost dead despite its 185 charging cycles. Now that’s “premium”.
